NN74NE 50 7965 4842.

(NN 7965 4842) (1) Circle of stones, diameter 32' N-S and 34' E-W, the tops almost flush with the ground.

Information from M E C Stewart, 2 February 1956.

NN 797 484. Four-poster.

J M Coles and D D A Simpson 1965

Excavations were carried out within the area of of this "four-poster" setting, the four stones set on the corners of a rectangle with sides measuring 8.5m, 7.0m, 5.6m, and 6.7m. Three of the boulders were of white- veined quartz. Owing to the proximity of other "four-posters in the vicinity, e.g. on Lundin farm (NN85SE 9) and on Carse farm (NN84NW 4), it was thought that these boulders might represent the last vestiges of a similar site, but no archaeological evidence of any kind was forthcoming.

M E C Stewart 1974

This feature has been destroyed and the four quartz boulders now lie, with several others, on the perimeter of cairn 'B' described on NN74NE 4. According to Mrs Stewart, this was not an antiquity.
