(Location cited as NO 683 856). Viaduct, opened c. 1849 by the Aberdeen Rly, and rebuilt c. 1880. A 13-span viaduct with steel trusses on stone piers. Originally the spans were of timber, and the cast-iron sockets for these can be seen in the piers.

This viaduct is built on the skew, and carries the Kinnaber Junction - Aberdeen main line of the (former) Caledonian Rly across the River North Esk to the W of Marykirk (NO66NE 51). The river here forms the boundary between the parishes of Logie Pert (Angus) and Marykirk (Kincardineshire), to the S and N respectively.
The location assigned to this record defines the centre of the structure. The available map evidence suggests that it extends from NO c. 68265 65787 to NO c. 68291 65460.
