(NM 4297 5170) Dun (NR) (site of)

OS 1:10000 map (1976)

Dun (probable), Dervaig: On the summit of an isolated rocky knoll situated 120m SW of Dervaig Church, there are some slight remains of what was probably a dun. Quarrying has removed much of the SE half of the Knoll, but at the N end of the summit a stretch of outer facing- stones survives for a length of 9m. They are accompanied by a light spread of rubble, which can be traced for a further 4.5m along the W side of the knoll. The exact dimensions of the area originally enclosed cannot be determined, but it probably measured at least 16m from NNE to SSW.

RCAHMS 1980, visited 1972

The remains of this probable dun are as described by the RCAHMS. They are too slight for survey.
