Farther E of the mound on Mains of Bruxie farm (NJ94NW 28) and in the wood immediately west of the farm house of Stockbridge of Bruxie is the outer rim of a small cairn, which had been too overgrown for easy removal.

J Milne 1896

The remains of a cairn, about 16.0m in diameter and 1.0m maximum height, situated on the top of a prominent rise, about 200ft OD at NJ 9578 4844. It is heavily mutilated by the removal of trees which previously grew upon it. No finds have been made. It has the appearance of a disc cairn, having a small central mound, but this is almost certainly due to mutilation. The farmer has dug in the mound to a depth of 2 1/2ft and found nothing.

Surveyed at 1/2500.
