See also NJ96NE 7.

A dovecot which stood on a rock not more than 50yds south of the Wine Tower (NJ96NE 9) was removed 'in the fifties' when the rock was blasted and used in the construction of a harbour jetty.

J Cranna 1914.

Sited to NJ 9997 6744 from a print in Fraserburgh which shows a square building with three string courses and crow stepped gables on a sea rock. Now no trace. Almost certainly contemporary with the castle (NJ96NE 7).

Visited by OS (AA), 17 January 1969.
