The upper and lower stones of a rotary quern about 18 1/2 ins in diameter were found (possibly about 1870) in a piece of 'mossy ground' in the hollow below West Cults. They are now the property of the author, and are to be presented to the Aberdeen Public Museum.

There is an unrecorded rotary quern in the Aberdeen Public Museum which may be the one recorded above. No other information was discovered.

This quern has not been identified in the collection of either Marischal Museum or Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museum.
