A stone coffin, (but no urn) was found a few years ago, during improvements at the Home Farm of Fetternear (NJ71NW 7.02).

Name Book 1866.

No further information.

Visited by OS (NKB) 16 January 1967.

Nothing is visible of the cist found at the centre of the home farm steading in the course of improvements shortly before 1866. The steading has been extensively redeveloped in recent years.
