About 250yds north of the two tumuli (NJ46NE 6) is another tumulus. "It is about 32yds in circumference, and has not yet been opened up. Flints have been got from the east end of this hillock" (Cramond 28 March 1895)

W Crammond 1895.

An earth and stone cairn, c.2.0m high, c.14.0m NE to SW by c.10.0m transversely. In the centre, trench 2.0m deep by 5.0m long, has been dug, but whether or not any finds were unearthed could not be ascertained by local enquiry.

Re-surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (RD), 5 August 1964.
