Innumerable flints occur to the south-west of the Fochabers road on the moorland which stretches past Orbliston Juntion (NJ 304 582: known as Fochabers Station in Morrison's time) through the Brown Muir (NJ Name not known) to a little north of Old Shields (NJ 283 577)

The name Brown Muir is not known locally. The area indicated by Morrison is now either cultivated or afforested and there is no local knowledge of flints found.
