(NJ 2072 6442) Dovecot (NAT)

OS 6"map, Morayshire, 2nd ed., (1906)

The Woodlands dovecote is now almost gone but appears to have been a square with 13 foot sides and walls 1 1/2 feet thick and to have been reconstructed for use as a cat tle shelter or cart shed.

R Douglas 1931.

All that remains of this dovecot is part of its eastern wall standing no higher than 1.0 metre. The other sides are represented by small heaps of rubble.

Visited by OS (R D L) 10 December 1962.
