(NJ 1888 3387). Tumulus (NR), Stone Coffin containing Human Remains Found AD. 1862.

OS 6"map, Banffshire, 2nd ed., (1905)

A small mound, opened in 1862 and found to contain a cist, 5ft long by 2 1/2ft with ashes and calcined bones. The cist was left in situ., the position being marked by three small upright stones.

Name Book 1869.

The site of this barrow and cist is still marked by the three stones (c.0.8m high) mentioned in the Name Book (1869).
