At NH 7651 2375 on a false crest within a field system (NH72SE 4), is a heather-covered cairn c.11.0m in diameter and 0.9m high.

Surveyed at 1/10,000.

Visited by OS (A A) 16 December 1971.

[Location amended from GIS to NH 76506 23739]. Scheduled as 'Banchor, cairn 315m SE of... a prehistoric burial cairn situated in rough pasture on a false crest overlooking the River Findhorn, at a height of 380m above sea level. It is situated within a complex of other prehistoric burial cairns, hut-circles and relic [sic.] field systems... [and] survives as a roughly circular, convex, turf-covered mound measuring 11.8m from E to W by 10.5m transversely, and 0.9m high.'
