NH59NE 23 5873 9649.

At NH 5873 9649, on the bank above and on the N side of a stream, is a burnt mound. It is roughly oval in ground plan, about 12.0m E-W by 7.0m, and is 0.9m high. The mound is almost separated in half along the shorter axis by a depression, 1.5m wide, that opens out on the stream. Some animal scrapes sparingly expose blackened earth and stained fragments of stone.

Surveyed at 1:10 000

Visited by OS (J M) 3 November 1976.

This burnt mound is as described previously, although it now lies within forestry plantation.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) October 1989.
