Location formerly cited as NH 5771 2593.

Cairn [NR] (at NH 57764 25916)

OS GIS, November 2007.

At NH 5771 2593, on a gentle slope on the S side of Creag Innis an Daimh Dhuibh, is a cairn discovered by Mr Lawson (Information from A B Lawson, Dhuhallow, Stratherrick, Inverness-shire). It measures about 15.0m N-S by 13.5m and stands 1.2m high; heather and grass encroaches on the periphery but otherwise it is of bare stones. No kerb, chamber, or cist are exposed. The cairn is disturbed in the SW sector and an animal pen has been constructed in the E side. Around the central area are a number of slabs, not in situ, the largest two of which measure 1.7m by 1.1m by 0.5m and 1.6m by 0.5m by 0.3m. There are scattered field clearance heaps and rig and furrow cultivation in the vicinity.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

Visited by OS (J M) 14 September 1978.

Scheduled as 'Leadclune, cairn, 1115m E of, Creag Innis an daimh Dhuibh... the remains of a substantial cairn, lying within... forest... at 300m above sea level.'

Information from Historic Scotland, scheduling document dated 1 October 2007.
