ND49SW 15 4205 9072

At ND 4205 9072 is a turf-covered burnt mound (1.6m high, 16.0m diameter) with its centre quarried away.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (ISS) 18 May 1973

This burnt mound is situated in the corner of a field some 100m W of the Mission Hall at Quoybanks. It is as described above, but a small low walled concrete platform has been built into the lower slope of the N arc.
