At NC 9967 6305, on a change of slope on a N-facing hill-side, is a cairn 9.0m in diameter by 0.8m high. It is mainly peat-covered but a core content of medium sized rounded and angular stone is visible in the W half. N of the cairn centre, an inclined slab 0.4m broad by 0.1m thick protruding 0.3m may be the disturbed end-slab of a cist.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

Visited by OS (J M) 21 July 1981.

This cairn (NMRS, MS 738/25, no.1), which measures 11m in diameter and stands over 1m in height, was recorded (at NC 9966 6305) during the course of a pre-afforestation survey by AOC (Scotland) Ltd.
