NC73SW 11 717 349.
At NC 717 349 is a probable standing stone 1.0m high 0.55m wide and 0.2m thick. The stone leans at a slight angle from vertical, possibly due to animals rubbing.
There are several pointed, earthfast stones on the uphill side; no coherent pattern can be seen and although one or two lines were found, these may well be fortuitous.
Information from MS, A Field Survey in the Loch Rimsdale Area, June 1975, site ref 11 (see archive).
The stone is as described above. At the base it measures 0.7m x 0.5m and is orientated ESE-WNW. The other stones, also as described, lie about 60.0m to the NW with the majority just protruding above ground level. No pattern of rows is discernible.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (J B) 18 April 1977.
