'Chapel, North Shore of Head of Holland.-This site, within a few yards of the shore and not many feet above high-water mark, is not recorded on the OS map, nor is it included in the list of Chapels given in the Scottish Historical Review XV p.233-40. When examined by Dryden in 1870 (D MacGibbon and T Ross 1896), however, there were vestiges of an oblong building of the local red sandstone, measuring 37ft from E to W by 15ft 4ins from N to S within walls 2ft 6ins thick at the sides and 3ft 3ins thick at the gables. The entrance was from the south.'

The ruin at HY 4794 1170 is the building illustrated by Dryden and is shown as "Kirk Do" on a plan of 1845 (Plan of Seattler and Holland 1845 1" to 4 chains).
