HY31SE 15 3678 1488.

There is a mound of burnt stones about midway between the farm of Benziaroth and the main road.

RCAHMS 1946. Visited August 1928.

HY 3678 1488. An oval mound, measuring c.22.0m NW-SE by 17.0m transversely and 1.7m high on its SW side and 0.4m high on the NE, situated on level ground beside a stream.

Ploughing on the north side has spread the mound and revealed a content of burnt sandstone and black earth.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS(NKB) 29 April 1966.
