(HY 2526 2205: HY 2526 2207) Tumuli (NR)

OS 6" map, Orkney, 2nd ed., (1903).

Two mounds from 25 to 30ft in diameter and relatively inconspicuous. They are formed largely of stones and now have no very definite features.

RCAHMS 1946.

Two low turf-covered barrows of earth and stones, situated on a conspicuous ridge. The southern barrow measures 12.5m N-S by 9.0m E-W, and 0.6m high, but has probably been spread by ploughing. The other barrow is circular, 6.0m in diameter and 0.3m high.

Resurveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (NKB) 23 May 1967.
