HY31SE 14 358 125.

A mound, very largely composed of stones roughly heaped together, but now (August 1928) so much disturbed and confused that it is impossible to give any satisfactory explanation of the remains, possibly marks the site of a prehistoric structure of some extent.

It is quite close to Heddle Cottage.

RCAHMS 1946.

There are numerous amorphous mounds in the vicinity of Heddle Cottage, all of which appear to be natural. The mound recorded above could not be identified.

Visited by OS(NKB) 22 April 1966.
