(HU 2975 5968) Cuml (OE)

OS 6" map, Shetland, 2nd ed., (1903)

A much-dilapidated cairn, with a probable original diameter of 26' 6", close beside a small plantie-crub.

RCAHMS 1946, visited 1931

An amorphous spread of stones situated in a sheltered valley close to the shore. Although all details of this feature are obscured by debris and a contiguous plantie crub, its sheltered position suggests it is more likely to be an ancient occupation site rather than a cairn. Slight traces of a field wall run from the structure to the water's edge.

Visited by OS (N K B) 13 June 1968
