Burnt Mound, Ballarat House - About 300 yards W of the
house. [R1]
On the left bank of a small burn lies a horseshoe shaped
mound covering an area of approximately 25 x 20 paces. [R2]
There is no trace of the burnt mound in the area stated by RC
(OR 1622). OS visit June 1966.
