Nothing is visible of this small farmstead, which stood in what is now a small pasture field situated immediately behind a row of houses fronting Kilchattan Bay. A single building and an enclosure are depicted here on a mid-18th century estate map of Kilcattan Bay (Foulis 1758-9), lying within 'Shoar But’, a smallholding extending to just over six Scots acres (c.3.2ha) in extent and comprising ‘sandy soil, mostly arable'. The farmstead appears to have been removed before the middle of the 19th century and it is not depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Buteshire 1869, Sheet CCXV).

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 17 March 2010.
