Five peat-stack stands are situated amongst the peat-cuttings on the N of the local summit of Guarsay Mór. The sub-rectangular stands (MING03 100-104), each of which is bounded by a stony bank, are all aligned from NE to SW. One has been built-up at its NE end and measures 6.8m by 2.8m transversely overall (MING03 104, NL 55022 84074). There are extensive areas of turf-stripping and peat-cuttings surrounding the stands. Four stands in this area are identified (see above entries) in Branigan and Foster (2000), but, their locations and descriptions can not be rationalised with those located on the date of visit.
