This cairn is situated on a gentle NW-facing slope 150m WNW of the recumbent stone circle and ring-cairn (NO79SE 2 and 3) in Clune Wood; it is oval, measuring 20m from NW to SE by 16.5m transversely, and the height of the mound ranges from 1.8m on the NW to 0.5m on the SE, where the cairn material has been spread up the slope. The surface of the cairn has been disturbed by the excavation of pits and the construction of several small enclosures.
