The Gowk Stone, Auchencorth NT 2039 5764 NT25NW 3
This stone, which stands on the crest of a low rise in a field 730m E of Auchencorth farm, measures 0.8m by 0.4m at the base by 2m in height. On the upper part of the SE face there is a panel bearing a three line inscription carved in Roman capitals, but only a few letters are still legible, and it is thought to be of relatively recent date.
