Cairn, East Rogerton (Site)
In 1789, during the destruction of a small cairn situated some 300 m NE of the farm of East Rogerton, five 'urns', measuring about 0.5 m in height, were discovered (Ure 1793, 214; Name Book No. 25, p.11-12). They are said to have been disposed in a circle and to have been about 0.7 m apart; although the description of the vessels is not altogether clear, it is likely that they were Cinerary Urns.
