HES Survey and Recording undertook a UAV survey of Dunmore fort on 13 March 2020 in order to support colleagues undertaking a planned training survey at the site later in the year.
The survey consisted of the capture of 17 oblique and 316 vertical aerial photographs and GNSS control. Imagery was captured from a DJI Inspire 2 UAV with an X7 Zenmuse camera with 16mm and 35mm lenses. Survey control data was captured using a Leica Viva GS10 GNSS System. Fieldwork was undertaken by Dr G F Geddes and Miss A McCaig.
The data was subsequently used to generate a geo-referenced image-based 3D model using Agisoft Metashape. The project archive includes the imagery, the dense point cloud (txt/laz), an orthomosaic, a slope visualisation, GNSS data and metadata.
