Situated immediately W of the former stable-block of Oakfield, this stone is aligned WNW and ESE and measures 1.67m in height and 1.0m by 0.23m at the base; it rises with outward flaring sides to a top which falls from the ESE to WNW and has a maximum breadth of 1.7m (Campbell and Sandeman 1964).
(There were no signs of any other stones in the area on the date of visit, although two others are mentioned in unpublished material gathered in preparation for the Argyll County Council List.)
