Strathbraan, Perth and Kinross.

A report on this project area has been offered for publication in the Tayside and Fife Archaeological Journal. The report presents an overview of the settlement and landuse history of the strath against a backdrop of four complex archaeological landscapes, dating from the Bronze Age to the nineteenth century, which have survived in 'windows' of unafforested and unimproved ground. Of particular interest were the extensive prehistoric, medieval and pre-improvement cultivation remains, the discovery of Pitcarmick-type houses and the identification of core and marginal areas of settlement within the strath.
