An archaeological watching brief was required by NHS Lothian during groundbreaking works associated with the Little France Children’s Hospital, at Little France, Edinburgh (NGR: NT 28986 70350). The development is located within the complex of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France Crescent, Little France, Edinburgh, and adjacent to the mid 19th Century Little France Steading and Mill.
No archaeological remains were noted during the course of the works.
