The visitor car park located between the East and South-east drives

accommodates approx. 90 cars and 5-6 coaches, and screened from the castle by wood P14, on land that was formerly part of the Fruit orchard (1770 Brown plan) or Orchard park (1824 McLean plan); drybound surface to access road and bays and coach area to the north. An unsurfaced footpath leads north-westward from the parking area to the South-east drive and the castle through the wood.
