Scope and Content Henge monument at Forteviot, Perth and Kinross The ditches of several circular enclosures, including two henges, were discovered as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs. This henge is defined by a broad ditch which is broken by a narrow entrance causeway on the NW. The ditch of this henge is visible as a dark ring on this aerial photograph. Outside the ditch, a concentric setting of evenly spaced pits can be traced. Immediately to the S, there is a small, penannular ring-ditch. This too is surrounded by pits. This henge forms part of a complex of cropmarks and is located in a field on a gravel terrace to the E of the Water of May. The field has been cultivated and the henge has been ploughed flat.
