The works closed in 1981. This shows the Bradley & Craven mixer, de-airer and extruder. Here, the blocks are being taken from the extruder and loaded on a hand trolley to be taken to the portable tile extruder. In 1938 Bradley & Craven supplied Ochiltree with this combined de-airer, mixer, feeder and auger machine. It was still in use in 1978. According to papers contributed by the Business Archives Council of Scotland Survey, the directors of Ochiltree Tile Works in 1938 were T B Gibson, J L Blake, J D Muir and E Martin.
