Scope and Content The contraction of cultivation after 1760 has lead to the preservation of large areas of the pre-improvement landscape. A few of the fields have continued to be ploughed from time to time, however, such as those seen in this vertical aerial view of Jerah, captured while timing was in progress on 10" June 1988.
