Scope and Content This ground view looks north-westwards across the area that James Wright enclosed within his park. Loss is at the centre of the picture, immediately to the right of the two isolated trees, and the main boundaries created in 1758 and 1762 can be identified from the lines of trees on the face of the hill beyond. Most of the trees that are visible were planted by Wright during the 1750s and 1760s.
