Scope and Content Old Parish Church, Kilchrist, Muir of Ord, Highland The Old Parish Church at Kilchrist (or Tarradale) was probably built in the late 16th century to replace an earlier church on the same site. The church, united with Urray in 1574. It was dedicated to Our Lord and known as Cill Chriosd, and is traditionally said to have been burnt in 1603. The church was re-roofed c. 1870 and is now the mausoleum of the MacKenzies of Ord.
