Scope and Content Benholm Mill, Kincardineshire This is a small water-powered corn mill, two-storeyed, on an L-plan, with an asbestos-roofed kiln. There were two pairs of stones, driven by a wood and iron overshot waterwheel about 0.75 by 3m fed from a mill dam This view shows the mill from the east, with the wheel on the end wall, and the kiln behind. Beyond the building is the mill dam This mill was still in operating condition in 1974. It was restored and adapted to receive visitors in the mid 1990s. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
