Scope and Content Former brewery, Thurso, Caithness This is a large three-storey, six-bay flagstone-built building, with a two-storey dwelling house at its west end. The brewhouse and other buildings were to the rear, and have been demolished. The surviving block was presumably the maltings. This view shows the building from the north west. Both the house and brewery have been re-roofed with corrugated asbestos. This building has been empty for many years, but plans exist to convert it into an archive centre.
