Scope and Content Fortrose Harbour, Ross and Cromarty This is a small harbour formed by a straight east pier and an L-plan west pier, both built of coursed rubble.. At the head of the harbour is a much-altered warehouse. This is a view of the end of the west pier, showing its construction, and the former railway hand crane, a rare survivor. This harbour has had no commercial use for many years, and is now used by local yachtsmen. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
