Scope and Content Cambusbarron Limekilns, Cambusbarron, Stirlingshire This is the largest and most developed of the three blocks of kilns in this area. It was unlike the others, designed to be rail served. This view shows the kilns from the north east. There are six kilns in the block, four of which have circular shafts and three drawholes each. The other two have oval shafts and four drawholes. These kilns ceased operating in 1909, and are now becoming very overgrown. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
