Scope and Content Mansefield Mills, Hawick, Roxburghshire Mansefield Mills were founded in1880 by James Renwick & Co as a tweed mill, and extended in 1929. This view shows the main three-storey and attic L-plan range, with single-storey weaving sheds at the rear. The extent of the 1929 works is not immediately evident. Though the mill buildings were dated 1880-1929, the complex seems to have had a more complicated building history than that. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
