Scope and Content Stair-tower, Cadboll Castle, Cadboll estate, Highland Cadboll's key buildings were added by different owners: the castle in the 16th-century, probably by the Bishop of Ross's factor; the house, by Aeneas Macleod in about 1680; and the walled garden, probably in the late 18th century, by the Macleod heirs. This is the entrance to the stair-tower, part of the west wing probably erected for William Sinclair who purchased the estate in 1592. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
