Scope and Content Plan of a stone circle at Craighall, Perth and Kinross Situated on the edge of a terrace 100m north-east of the former saw mill at Craighall, are the remains of a small stone circle. This small stone circle comprises four monoliths, all now fallen, each of roughly equal size. A circle with four upright stones is known as a four-poster stone circle. The purpose of such monuments remains uncertain, though some probably held religious or ceremonial significance, others possibly acted as route markers. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
