Scope and Content Redrawn from DC 32392 for publication as comparative plan. Plan of a settlement on Park Hill, Dumfries and Galloway Situated on the gently-sloping northern flank of Park Hill are the remains of a settlement. Oval on plan, the settlement is defined by a stony bank which no longer survives on the south-west. Vestiges of three building platforms are visible within the settlement. Settlements like this enclosed timber-built round-houses with a yard for keeping animals and storage. A mixture of animal husbandry and arable cultivation were likely practised by the inhabitants.
