Scope and Content The dramatic cliffscape along the south-west coast of Canna Canna and Sanday are the westernmost of the Small Isles and were gifted to The National Trust for Scotland in 1981 by the late Dr J L Campbell. They lie to the north-west of Rum between the mainland and the Outer Hebrides. View looking east along the top of the cliffs. A survey of Canna and Sanday was undertaken by the Royal Commission to record all the archaeological sites and monuments and the landscape within which they lie. This landscape is published as RCAHMS Broadsheet 5. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
