Scope and Content The dramatic cliffscape along the south-west coast of Canna Canna and Sanday are the westernmost of the Small Isles and were gifted to The National Trust for Scotland in 1981 by the late Dr J L Campbell. They lie to the north-west of Rum between the mainland and the Outer Hebrides. View looking east along the top of the cliffs. A survey of Canna and Sanday was undertaken by the Royal Commission to record all the archaeological sites and monuments and the landscape within which they lie.
