Scope and Content Drawings of timber-subframe of belfry of earlier beetling shed of Avonbank Bleach and Dye Works, Larkhall Avonbank Bleach and Dye Works was founded in 1839 on the site of an earlier distillery. It soon became famous for its Scotch Holland Roller Blinds. In 1865 it passed to D C Miller who owned it until its demolition in the 1980s. The belfry is supported on transverse-struts. A plaque commemorates the erection of the shed in 1841, and its rebuilding in 1868. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
