Scope and Content Drawing of Duchess Bridge, Langholm, Dumfriesshire Duchess Bridge was built in 1813 by William Keir junior and is the oldest surviving cast-iron bridge in Scotland. The railings and the iron scrolls attaching them to the rest of the structure are probably original. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
